2011 was a disconcerting year for many of us, as the Coalition Government worked hard to get Britain back on its feet. Tough decisions were made, but there is still some way to go to secure a long-term recovery.
Yet despite the obvious economic worries, I continue to be overwhelmed by people’s ability to help others and give their time and energy to local projects aimed at the more vulnerable in society. So I want to take the opportunity to say a huge Thank You to residents for all the support you have given to charities and good causes in and around the constituency. I am proud to represent such an active and generous constituency.
Windsor is a beautiful place to live and we are fortunate to be surrounded by idyllic villages and towns. I am determined to keep it that way and will continue to fight tooth and nail against insensitive overdevelopment. In Parliament I will continue to push for more local control over our local environment and I am committed to fighting side by side with residents and Councillors to fight for our local services in the year ahead.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and hope you enjoy some time with your friends and family.
